Where There’s A Way

Semifinalist, Outstanding Screenplays Shorts Competition 2021

A Mother and Father struggle as they grieve the loss of their young baby daughter to a devastating illness.

I’m excited to make this film because I believe the emotional impact it will cling to the audience long after they’ve watched it.

As a writer, I have a lot of empathy, and to write something as important as this short film, allows me to contribute to a topic that is close to a lot of people. Losing family members is devastating for anyone, but losing a child is a void that time cannot heal.

This short film is important because it can raise awareness and be linked to charities that support families with children that are terminally ill.

This short film script was purely inspired by the tragic loss of Azaylia Diamond Cain (10.08.2020 - 24.04.2021) and how those parents dealt with the worst possible moment imaginable.
