VFX tests using After Effects

Since leaving the media, I've been able to store up my creative energy again. Most evenings now I like to tinker around on After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, playing with things like muzzle flashes from guns, or explosions etc. After all that's what I love. I grabbed my DSLR camera and began making micro shorts - literally micro - up to thirty seconds long. It gives me just enough footage to add in a few effects, mess around with ideas and generally see what garbage I can create along the way. This way I can play around with the footage and try loads of new things. For me it's a good to way to learn how to shoot effects when in actual production and without using practical effects.
