University of Oxford - Technical Writing

During my time at the University of Oxford, I was responsible for producing high-quality "How-To" copy content for the media services' Lecture Capture Help pages. To achieve this, I developed a comprehensive workflow, beginning with a thorough understanding of the services offered.

This involved identifying the necessary pages and segments, including essential technical information and creating custom images, graphics, and videos to help illustrate complex concepts, and ensure the content was engaging and informative.

Given the continuous nature of the assignment, it was critical to update pages regularly with the latest information, copy, videos, links, and tutorials, to maintain the Lecture Capture Help site's relevance and effectiveness. My expertise in creating compelling copy and engaging visual assets played a crucial role in achieving this goal.

To create the necessary infographics and diagrams, I used industry-standard software such as Photoshop, while Premiere Pro and After Effects were utilised to edit videos. The final copy was crafted directly in the Drupal CMS, ensuring easy integration and effortless updates to the website.

Overall, I am proud of the quality of work I delivered at the University of Oxford, and the significant impact it had on enhancing the Lecture Capture Help site's online presence and improving search engine visibility.
